Researchers say this finding is reassuring, but they add that patients should be followed longer to see if there are long-term implications for cardiovascular and liver disease risk. "We do want to know if there are long-term consequences, but that was not a part of this research," researcher Michele Manos, PhD, MPH, tells WebMD. Tighter Controls on Drug First approved in 1982 for the treatment of severe disfiguring acne , Accutane use in women has long been linked to an increased risk of miscarriage and birth defects.

Novacta Receives 3.5 Million Pounds Strategic Translation Award From ...
Novacta Biosystems, a UK-based anti-infective therapeutics company, announces that the Wellcome Trust, the UK's largest medical research charity, has awarded it £3.5 million as part of the Trust's Strategic Translational Award programme. Novacta will use the award to progress development of a drug which, it is hoped, will help combat hospital-based Clostridium difficile (C.difficile) infections. C. Difficile infections (CDIs) are a growing and serious problem and have, for example, been associated with twice as many deaths in UK hospitals last year as MRSA. After assaulting the proposed "economic stimulus plan" last week in this column, I went looking for an economic stimulus plan of my own. Of course, one can criticize a plan without having an alternative plan to present. There are so many more plans, on so many subjects, than there is time to acquire enough expertise to address all of them. Critics play a valuable role just by opposing bad ideas, encouraging those who present them to return to the drawing board. In a democracy, citizens have an obligation to at least know what they don't want, and hope they will recognize the better idea when they finally see it. All taxpayers have a right to support tax limitation, knowing what they can afford and should reasonably be expected to pay for the services they consider essential.

The most obvious thing I note is that loutravieso him/herself hasn't managed to make it all the way through either the Constitution or the Declaration. For that matter, he obviously didn't understand the portion of the Declaration quoted in the article. He advocates arrest and imprisonment based on Ideas. Not to mention that little side trip to HELL. His attitude is in clear violation of the Constitution he challenges US to understand and he espouses the exact sort of behaviour which prompted the founding fathers to commission Jefferson to write the declaration in the first place. .
Apple - it's about iMacs not iPhones
I also find the mature OS X (10.4 Tiger version) to be excellent, as I'm sure Leopard (10.5) will prove to be when it's updated in the next few weeks. However, I'll be considering a PC desktop as my next computer purchase. Apple make great computers & have the best, most intuitive OS (also virus-free) available today, but their consumer desktop models are relatively niche. If you want an upgradeable desktop Mac, Apple offers nothing but the Mac Pro at over £2,000 (with decent monitor). I think that the limited choice of Mac hardware is a significant obstacle to many more people switching over from PC. .
