The Wire: Omar targets the money
I started this blog talking about the Omar-Marlo conflict, but there were actually a lot of strong threads and you realize the strength of writing on the gritty HBO series. Carcetti and city hall. McNulty digs a deeper hole by kidnapping a homeless man to make it seem like he is a victim of the serial killer . A frustrated Freamon trys to catch Marlo using a wiretap. Templeton's star continues to rise as he milks the phantom serial killer story for all it's worth. The quotes, the stories, the interview subjects are just too perfect for real life. I'm sure this nags at Augustus, a veteran newspaper man, but he has nothing solid right now. I can't wait for this "bright and shiny" star to fall. What was your take on this episode? Palomar To Debut New Technology At The American Academy Of Dermatology ...
Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMTI), a leading researcher and developer of light-based systems for cosmetic treatments, announced that it will unveil two new fractional handpieces at the 66th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) in San Antonio, Texas from February 2nd to 4th.
Palomar's new Lux2940(TM) fractional ablative laser handpiece is a sophisticated, single-treatment skin resurfacing device which allows the practitioner to tailor the level of skin tightening based on the patient's needs. Three treatment modes are available: short pulse for pure ablation with the fastest treatment times and quickest recovery; long pulse for more coagulation around the ablation columns; and a dual mode for a short pulse / long pulse automatic sequence for deeper corrections.

Britney Spears and Adnan: ‘Classiest Couple ‘08’
Britney Spears and her paparazzi man-candy Adnan Ghalib have been embarking on daily shopping sprees over the past week. One stop was the Betsey Johnson store in Sherman Oaks where Britney apparently came out of a dressing room buck-ass naked, according to Life & Style: "I was blown away. Britney's private parts were right in front of me!" a store employee tells Life & Style.
"I grabbed a dress to cover her and she screamed, 'Get away from me! Don't you f------ come near me!' says the employee.
"Then she disappeared in the dressing room with Adnan for 45 minutes. They were making weird noises. It was disgusting." When Britney and Adnan finally came out, what followed is probably the most accurate description of how I imagine Britney talking: "I couldn't understand a word she was saying.
SyFriday: The Tragedy Of Dying A Celebrity
It's very easy to see actors who have died young and feel that it must be real rough to be an actor. These are people like Chris Farley, John Belushi, River Phoenix, and more recently actors such as Brad Renfro, and of course, Heath Ledger. Of course, people die young all the time, and sometimes through overdoses or some other health issue. But since so many people have been entertained by younger actors' work, it's easy to notice their death more than others who may not have been famous when they died. One of the hardest non-family member deaths I had ever had to endure was that of my best friend growing up. His name was Aaron, and he literally lived in a house just behind mine on a different street. It was always fun to hang out with Aaron, because not only was he someone who cared deeply about his friends and treated his friends like kings whenever they were around, but he also had the biggest yard in the neighborhood which was great especially for a kid like me whose total yard is about the size of most people's closets.

I love jazz, and I saw a great Wynton Marsalis program that made me want to download this album he and his father did of all of the 'Peanuts' songs, 'Joe Cool's Blues'. Freeway, [Beanie Sigel] and [DJ] Drama's 'Gangsta Grillz.' And [her own EP] 'Life Experience.' … You know what's funny? Before you make your own music you can't imagine listening to your own music — until you have it.

Re: Police seek witnesses the abduction and assault with sexual intent. Police are seeking witnesses to the abduction of a young woman as she walked along Chester Street West between the Christchurch District Court Building and the western side of Victoria Square. Between 10 and 10.30am on Thursday the 1st of November 2007 . The victim was walking east along Chester Street West. She was grabbed by two males and dragged behind a hedge area at the end of Chester Street West and indecently assaulted. .
